TESTIMONIAL
We have a granddaughter who has dyslexia and ADHD. She was enrolled in public school, through 3rd grade. During that time the school administrators tried to help her with her learning issues. They tried to provide the support she needed, but they simply did not have the necessary resources to help her succeed. We decided to hire a tutor. Laura Malone (Miss Laura is what we call her) became her tutor and it turned out to be a true blessing. She gave our granddaughter exercises to help with her dyslexia. After a few months of tutoring she was making progress. At the same time, the public-school environment was not working. We were aware Miss Laura was homeschooling her children, and we asked her if she would consider taking our granddaughter as a student for her 4th grade.
We knew this was a big ask, but she told us she would pray about it and let us know. Miss Laura accepted her for her 4th grade year and it turned out to be a win-win situation for both of our families. Our granddaughter has made significant progress in both 4th now 5th grade. Miss Laura's home is a positive Christian learning environment. Our granddaughter was always reluctant to go to public school. She never felt like she fit in. Now she looks forward to school and is disappointed when she has to miss a day. With Miss Laura, she has made steady progress and gained confidence in her abilities. She still has a way to go, but we love how the home school has worked for our family and we love Miss Laura and her family. We would highly recommend any family looking for an alternative to a traditional public-school environment to consider trusting their child's education to Miss Laura. She and her family have been a true blessing in our lives. I could not give a higher recommendation to anyone looking to help their child grow.
